Software Developer C# (FIFA) (m/f/d)

The Challenge Ahead:

The Data Collection & Licensing group (FIFA) is looking for a Web Developer with C#, ASP/PHP, and JavaScript experience. Our mission is to make our tools supporting our work as functional and slick as possible, and that's why we want YOU. As the next Web Developer, you will report to the Head of Software Development in our very international group. The Data Collection & Licensing Group is passionate about football and video games, and committed to a diverse and inclusive culture.

This position is planned to run for 2 years.

What a Software Developer does at EA:

  • You will ramp-up on the design and code of existing applications and provide support.
  • You will develop and document requirements and specifications.
  • You will propose and action enhancements to our technology suite to assist game teams.
  • You will promote the technical direction of the team and encourage productivity improvements to our engineering workflows.
  • You will work with partners to establish the future road map for our tools and development.

The next great Software Developer also needs:

  • 3+ years industry technical experience building technologies and consumer-facing websites
  • 3+ years experience with object-oriented JavaScript and PHP
  • Experience with a JavaScript library like jQuery or YUI
  • Experience with the HTTP protocol, and how to work with RESTful web services is required
  • Experience consuming and manipulating XML
  • Knowledge of Web technologies including PHP/ASP, xHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of HTML 5 and ability to evaluate its application to our projects
  • Experience with web site security
  • Focus on software performance and validation
  • Knowledge of source code management: Git or Perforce
  • Knowledge of Java is desirable
  • Experience conducting code reviews
