Your future crew

You will be part of one of the brand new teams in our company with a lot of potential to grow. As a finance developer you will be working on the company's core processes with all key departments of Holidu as stakeholders (finance, payments, different product teams, providers, etc.)

Our Tech Stack

• Microservice architecture written with Java 8/11 and Spring Boot
• Data storage with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis and S3
• Heavy usage of AWS
• Asynchronous service communication using Kafka, ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS
• Jenkins CI pipeline
• Search engine runs on Elasticsearch cluster.
• Frontend written in ReactJS & Redux
• Nano services with Amazon Lambda
• Containerization with Docker, automatisation with Kubernetes
• Monitoring with ELK 6.3, Grafana, Sentry

Your role in this journey

• You will be part of the team which is fully responsible for implementing finance and payment processes
• You will develop new features which are in daily use through thousands of online transactions
• You act as a deeply integrated tech partner for the team and directly help to develop the product further
• Build highly scalable and reliable applications with state of the art technologies
• You will build features to create a fully digital marketplace

Your backpack is filled with

• Finished studies in Computer Science, or related fields
• Professional experience as a Java backend developer, ideally you have worked or you have the strong motivation to work with Spring Boot, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker and the rest of our stack
• You love coding and building world class products!
• You can communicate effectively within your team and with non-tech stakeholders
• Capacity to break down a long term technical vision into incremental work
• Capacity to plan, prioritise, drive coworkers to execute, report on progress and blockers
• Practical experience with the testing of transactions and integration into systems like SAP ERP
• Strive for building high-quality software
