We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team in Cologne.

What You'll do:

You'll be driving the incremental development of our ASP.NET Core + JS web applications for new features and improved user experience; based on incorporating state of the art technologies and methodologies.

Working hands-on as a member of our international agile team, you will develop a deep understanding of our solution and the needs of our clients, perform design and code reviews, lead via exemplary coding, research and present ways to improve our products and be working closely with the product owners and architects to evolve our solutions with a focus on user satisfaction.

With your "Get it Done Right" attitude you will ensure high quality code, maintainability, low redundancy and meet industry standards for security, compliance and high availability. You will own the end-to-end delivery until the new code is deployed in production and running without issues.

What You'll Need to Succeed

*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Related field or similar qualification

*8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, multi-year experience with C# and JavaScript

*Good understanding of user experience and design for usability

*Extensive understanding of Cloud IT systems infrastructure, Engineering and DevOps practices

*Robust knowledge of software design, development, debug, test practices and web technologies

*Experience guiding development teams and providing feedback

*Fluent English as working language

*Valid work and residency permit for Germany

*E-Commerce background

*SQL (Oracle)

*.NET Core, Blazor, React

*Scrum, Agile, User Story writing

*German language skills
